PREVENTABLE is studying a commonly used drug to lower cholesterol called atorvastatin (brand name Lipitor®) in individuals 75 years or older who don’t have heart disease. PREVENTABLE will test if taking atorvastatin could help older adults live well for longer by preventing dementia, disability, or heart disease.
